About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing the technical infrastructure of a new cloud-based product. Your expertise in IT security, cloud technologies, and automated deployments will ensure that the system remains reliable, secure, and high-performing.
Your role is critical in preventing downtime and maintaining system stability as the number of users grows. Additionally, you will support the web development team by providing tools and processes that enhance their efficiency in feature development. This position offers high levels of responsibility, from selecting the right cloud services and setting up CI/CD pipelines to implementing monitoring tools, security strategies, and backup solutions.
Your Responsibilities
✅ Infrastructure & Cloud Services
- Identifying and implementing suitable cloud solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Setting up and optimizing databases for performance and scalability
- Implementing load balancing and auto-scaling for fluctuating traffic loads
✅ Deployment & Automation
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with automated testing
- Developing backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
- Creating transparent and efficient deployment workflows
✅ Security & Certificate Management
- Automating SSL/TLS certificate management and secret storage for credentials
- Implementing firewalls, security mechanisms, and regular system updates
- Ensuring compliance with IT security best practices
✅ Monitoring & Incident Response
- Setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., for performance issues or outages)
- Analyzing system logs to detect and resolve issues proactively
- Regularly reviewing infrastructure changes for impact on stability and performance
✅ Collaboration & Team Support
- Working closely with web developers to enable seamless deployments and fast troubleshooting
- Advising on cloud and infrastructure topics to ensure efficient product growth
- Coordinating with management and other teams to define and track KPIs (e.g., cloud costs, uptime metrics)
Your Profile – What You Bring
✔ Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
✔ Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container technologies (e.g., Docker)
✔ Familiarity with CI/CD tools and modern deployment processes
✔ Strong background in IT security (firewalls, server hardening, certificates), monitoring, and logging
✔ Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) to collaborate effectively with developers
✔ Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve infrastructure issues
✔ Team-oriented mindset and clear communication in an agile environment
